What money actually is
In the UK, the pounds in a current account are a claim on a regulated institution — not notes in a drawer. UK Trust Bank only shows a live balance when a regulated provider has issued your account. If a figure is missing, it is missing on purpose.
Current vs savings
A current account is for spending and receiving. A savings pot is money you have decided not to spend yet. Mixing them makes both jobs harder.
